My team, Bradford City AFC, started January 2018 in a terrific league position. Comfortably placed in the playoffs with a healthy gap between us the chasing pack, we have had a disappointing month.

League and FA Cup defeats, losing four consecutive games for the first time in seven years, has left us looking over our shoulders as the teams below us have caught up. Add in injuries to players and a, so far, inability to get new players in during the transfer window leaves the squad threadbare.

Their is a sense of “doom and gloom” among many fans. Today’s picture reflects the growing impression of the lights going out on our season.
