Say hello to Mrs. Hudson.
With the recent cold weather and the snow, ice and rain, the ground in our chicken run had become terribly muddy and unpleasant for the girls. Yesterday I installed a new tarpaulin on the roof to help keep it dry; thankfully I finished putting it on just ahead of the snow and sleet that later came down.
This afternoon I put 300 litres of wood chippings on the floor to allow the chickens some respite from the trench like conditions underfoot…under claw? The girls seemed to enjoy the chance to have a good scratch around in it.
