If you have never seen this fabulous show then I urge you to do so.

“Friday Night Lights” is, on the face of it, about high school football in a small Texas town. Whilst this is true, it is about so much more than just football. It is about people, their relationships to each other, their partners, family and friends. And their relationships with their community and town. It is life affirming and is a joy to watch.

An NBC show, it ran for five seasons and 75 fabulous episodes between October 2006 and February 2011. Sarah and I originally caught it on TV, but after catching up with the series and having to wait for the next one to begin, grew impatient. I ended up ordering the complete box set on DVD from America.

The team motto is “Clear Eyes, Full Hearts. Can’t Lose”. This forms part of my right arm sleeve.
