Day 295 – 365 / October 22nd 2015

I had convinced myself that Nigella would not be willing to sign my portrait and was somewhat nervous upon meeting the Domestic Goddess herself. So much so that I was a little tongue tied and giddy – I cannot recall much of my brief meeting with her. Other than that she really was delightful and, despite a busy day in both Liverpool and Manchester signing books and meeting fans, she was patient, polite and utterly charming to everyone.

I thought that maybe she would not be as wonderful in person as she appears in her shows and when I have seen her on TV. I was delighted that she is actually even more lovely in person and looks incredible.

Truly a delight.
