Day 191 – 365 / July 10th 2015
Lavender in my garden looking lovely and smelling fab.
We planted these as teeny, tiny, little “plug” plants two years ago when we had the garden dug out and these gabbion baskets built as a retaining wall for the “top” garden above our nee patio and conservatory. The lavender has come along wonderfully and has created a great low hedge which is a delight to view and sniff. Lavender always reminds me of that beautiful song from 1985 by Scottish rockers Marillion, a favourite of mine these past thirty years. Powerful, poignant, sad and thrilling, listening to the song always gives me great pleasure.
Nice on the eye and pleasant to the nose, a combination that makes a winning plant for me.
