This afternoon has been spent working on my submission to The Northern Writers’ Awards. The closing date is February 1st but my application needs to be as good s I can possibly make it.

Consequently, as today has been a “writerly” sort of day, I thought that a shot of my copy of “On Writing” by the brilliant Stephen King was warranted.
