Day 109 – 365

Day 109 –  365 / April 19th 2015 Do you recall all my cleaning and polishing of my van? Well, this is one of my cleaning cloths on the line drying. And, before you ask, it has been washed.

Day 108 – 365

Day 108 – 365 / April 18th 2015 John Connolly is one of my favourite writers; I fully encourage you to read his Charlie Parker series. Bethany secretly went to the York store of Waterstones and got John to sign a copy of his new book for me.

Day 107 – 365

Day 107 – 365 / April 17th 2015 Today we went to the Bridgewater hall in Manchester to see our very first orchestral concert. Although I cannot say that I was able to follow the music clearly (it was a new piece), I did thoroughly enjoy the evening.

Day 106 – 365

Day 106 – 365 / April 16th 2015 In case you wondered how a vinyl logo is applied to a van, here you go. from top left; clean van; logo loosely positioned to check for fit; 1st layer applied; application tape removed from 1st layer; top colour applied; tape removed; border removed to reveal two…

Day 105 – 365

Day 105 – 365 / April 15th 2015 Today you see a working drawing for a van that I have designed and, today, finished lettering.

Day 104 – 365

Day 104 – 365 / April 14th 2015 You’ve seen the van “de-lettered”. Now here is a close up of the rear with a carbon fibre finish to the bottom of the tailgate.

Day 103 – 365

Day 103 – 365 / April 13th 2015 My image for Day 101 showed you what a vinyl logo looks like when removed from a vehicle, all scrunched up, twisted and torn. Today you see what it looks like when brand spanking new on the side of a gleaming van.

Day 102 – 365

Day 102 – 365 / April 12th 2015 What a fantastic book cover! It simply had to be today’s image.

Day 101 – 365

Day 101 –  365 / April 11th 2015 My van was looking a little neglected; the paintwork was in need of some TLC and a polish. Also, the graphics needed a little attention. So, I decided to remove all the graphics and attend to things. This is what a large two coloured vinyl logo looks…

Day 100 – 365

Day 100 – 365 / April 10th 2015 I wanted the image for Day 100 to be extra special. And, in my defence, I thought I had it as the sheep on the far right of the group had a fabulous green “mohawk” hair do which looked great. The fleeces were also showing multiple colours…

Day 99 – 365

Day 99 – 365 / April 9th 2015 These guidebooks were bought for me as presents last Christmas, ahead of my holiday this year. I am eagerly awaiting Independence Day in Nashville!

Day 98 – 365

Day 98 – 365 / April 8th 2015 I finally got around to putting my friend Paul’s badges into their frames. It’s quite a lengthy process. But, his cases are now done.

Day 97 – 365

Day 97 – 365 / April 7th 2015 Sarah, Bethany, Liam and I went to the pub quiz this evening. Unlike on previous occasions where we performed acceptably, tonight we didn’t. As my own scoresheet testifies.

Day 96 – 365

Day 96 – 365 / April 6th 2015  Today was our attempt to set a brand new Guinness World Record for the Most Flat Cap Wearers In A Single Venue. The attempt seemed to go well, despite some last minute panics and changes to our planning. If may not seem a high number but we…
